101 in 1001

Orignially published July 5, 2013

I didn't make a new year's resolution this year. Mostly because I couldn't think of a good one, and didn't think I would be successful at one if I couldn't think of one I really liked. Resolutions of years past: 2011 part 1 and part 2, a 2012 look back (even though it somewhat shows how much I failed at my 2012 resolution), and how I spent my 2012 New Year's Eve. As I'm pretty happy with my life right now, I couldn't think of one specific thing to change/add in my life, instead I'm coming up with 101.

Enter the 101 in 1001.

I've been reading blogs for a while now, mostly only because I'm interested in other people's lives and how they live them. I love photography and writing, and blogs are usually a great place to see good examples of that. One blog that I love (Melissa Jill's) wrote about here had her own version of a 101 in 1001 list. She wrote about both her first and second tries. I got a lot of ideas from hers, as well as read many other lists from random blogs and also the Day Zero website. It should be my first goal, but one of the biggest is just to finish the list of 101 things. I'll be back to update the things I've done until the end of the 1001 days.

Like I said, one main goal is just to finish the list itself (number 34 on the list). Some of these, once finished, will warrant a blog post. Others won't, but the main goal is just for me to get through some of it. Maybe this will force me to actually post something every once in a while. Maybe regular posting will even become one of the goals on the list. Go big or go home.

Get back to me at the end of September, 2015, and we'll see my progress.
